This year is starting off with lots of hope for exciting things in 2025.

I found this quote about goals that had me inspired going into the new year.

January was filled with puzzling and playing with toys from Christmas. We also had both kids in weekend ski lessons for the first time, so we got to have some adult ski days! Yes, we sent them when the wind chill was -27.

We got through the cold days with our wood burning stove, but learned some valuable lessons from the local firefighters at 2am when our carbon monoxide detectors went off😊. Here is your PSA – make sure you have CO detectors, and put them above your fireplaces or other appliances because CO rises.

Three people sit at a table assembling a large jigsaw puzzle. A young girl and boy work together, smiling, while an adult helps. Puzzle box and extra pieces are also on the table. The setting appears to be a cozy, well-lit room.
A smiling young child in a purple swim outfit stands by an indoor pool, holding a pool ladder and leaning on a table. The pool and colorful mural are visible in the background.
A group of eight people in colorful ski gear pose together on a snowy mountain slope, with skis and poles, under a sunny, partly cloudy sky.
Three firefighters, two in full gear and one in a black jacket and beanie, stand and smile indoors. The room has wooden floors, a couch, a rug, and a cardboard box in the corner.
