May was filled with a Mother’s Day camping trip to Moab, lots of soccer games, and some visits with good friends old and new!
Moab is always a good time, but we especially loved our time at Mill Creek Waterfall where we got to do some cliff jumping with the kids, and our time at the rec center where the kids (not our kids, but friends) practiced their flips off the diving board. We also did some biking and 4 wheeling, which was a big hit.
Both kids are playing soccer, and I got to coach Kolton’s team. It is fun to watch them as they start to understand the game more, and we are accepting 3 hours at the soccer field each weekend is just this phase of life.
Over Memorial Day also got to bike to Broken Compass and Breckenridge Distillery with some good friends from Denver. We were very impressed that Kolton biked the whole way there, but then we had a minor issue with a blanket in an e-bike wheel during a hail storm event on the way home. Everything was fine. We also spent a day in Vail swimming in the pool and hanging out with our friends Jessie, John, and Sydney. Weezy and Sydney made themselves a cozy spot on the patio despite the rain. I’ve learned I need to take more pictures of myself rather than just the kids!
