You may have seen some rumblings in the news about changes in the way Realtors® are going to be paid. Let me first start by saying that this is a settlement in response to two ongoing lawsuits proposed by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and nothing has yet been approved by the court.
So, until that happens, everything you are hearing and reading is ASSUMING that the settlement will be approved by the court. Also, there are some bold statements in the media out there about “seismic” shifts in the way real estate is bought and sold if this settlement is approved. Hmmm. I just don’t know. For now, I’m continuing to run my business as usual. I will keep you updated as things progress and feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss it.
National Association of Realtors settlement won’t change the Colorado mountain housing markets as much as you’d think
Pending changes to how realtors set commissions could make selling a home less expensive. But that likely won’t chip away at multimillion-dollar mountain home prices.
