October went so fast! We wrapped up another fun soccer season, and the highlight was that there were some moments that looked like real soccer! We celebrated Kolton’s 8th birthday with a dinner at Benihana, a Rapids game, and family night out at Radicato in Breckenridge (highly recommend). We played with Kolton’s presents which involved a lot of LEGO time, and some 3D printed toys.

And we did Summit County Halloween which involved a puffy jacket under Rumi’s belly shirt, and some gloves with the Ninja costume, but it wasn’t too cold this year! Our friends Matt and Lindsay also joined us for a Fall party and a hike to the Troll in Breckenridge. There’s a cool surprise on that trail for anyone with kids.

But, I included this picture of me throwing a ball at the lake because it was one of my highlights of the month. The kids and I went and watched the sunset at the lake and played catch, and they took pictures. It was simple, free, and 5 minutes from our house, and we all came back filled up.  It was a good reminder that getting into nature and out of your routine every now and then can be simple and fulfilling.
