February 2026 – Candice’s Shenanigans

February was when I accepted that it is ok not to have powder to go play in the mountains. I took the kids tubing at the Frisco Adventure Park, only to realize that they prefer their friends over their mom, so I did some solo tubing... this is just the beginning I'm sure. Then I took a getaway to Big Sky with Kristina! It was a treat to get to hang with just her, but she got to hear all about the real estate transactions that took place in February. We did some backcountry skiing in Beehive Basin, 8 miles of cross country skiing which was my personal best (though she was skating laps around me as a former DU cross country skier), some uphill skinning with a beautiful sunrise, and then capped it off with some fun downhill runs. Amy, Jennifer, and I celebrated being the #1 small team at Your Castle, and Amy receiving the top producer award (among a few others). We also got to check out the under belly of the Broncos stadium and walk on the field. I also had two ski days at Copper with Jessie, my long time bestie, and her family. It is so fun to do something you love with your bestie while watching the next generation! Fingers crossed for a few more powder days in March!
