March 2026 – Candice’s Shenanigans

March started off with a rowdy trip to Crested Butte with 7 other couples (and no kids)! Yes, there was an Olympic inspired mogul race with Sprinkles, Gaston, Belle, and a surprise stranger who did a backwards summersault. Did I mention we also got a 6” powder day? Those were rare this season, so we appreciated that! I did a (mostly) fun hike to Mayflower Gulch with the kids and the Hirsh family. It’s not a good hike if there aren’t tears over a spilled snack. Not sure how I got away with taking that picture, but it’s a good representation of real life. Sweet Sadie turned 13 this month. She’s still a food motivated princess after all these years! I also celebrated a birthday in Winter Park where I got to ski and trail run in the same day, and the kids did a lot of skipping rocks. I got to skin WP on my birthday with Jessie in 50 degree weather. We rounded out March with the home opener of the Denver Summit FC NWSL team. It was inspiring to see 60,000 people who paid to watch women’s soccer, and it made me miss soccer a little (though I couldn’t run in that heat). I also saw one of my coaches from high school!
